Embroider Buddy creates plush blanks like stuffed animals, blankeys, and pillows, designed for embroidery and imprinting. Unlike most stuffed animals, ours are made with embroidery in mind.

Our plush toys are the largest on the market and feature removable stuffing pods. Each toy has a hidden zipper on the bottom. Unzip it, remove the stuffing pods, and you get a flat, smooth surface for embroidery. That makes it easier to center your design without struggling with a lumpy toy. Just hoop it flat, stitch your design, and put the stuffing back in when you’re finished. This simple process helps even beginners get started quickly.

Even though we are called Embroider Buddy, you’re not limited to embroidery. Because the fabric can be laid flat, you can use HTV, DTF, sublimation, and other methods. Stitch or press your design as needed.

Meet Mister Buddy Bear

If you’re not sure where to begin, start with Mister Buddy Bear.

He’s a classic teddy bear with soft tan fur and a timeless look, making him a good fit for anyone. Whether it’s a new baby gift, birthday, or graduation, he works for any occasion.

Mister Buddy Bear uses the removable stuffing pod system. Both the head and belly pods can be removed via the hidden zipper at the bottom, leaving a flat area for personalization. A name, birth date, or a short quote on the belly looks great.

He’s also a great option for people new to personalizing plush toys. His easy-to-work-with, low-pile fabric makes him simple to use. Starting with a name or short phrase will keep things easy as you learn.

A few quick tips if you’re just getting into this

Using a medium-weight tearaway stabilizer under the fabric helps keep your stitches in place. A lighter, water-soluble stabilizer on top keeps the thread from sinking into the fabric. Lay the panel flat, position your stabilizers, center your design, and hoop it (make sure the ears, arms and legs stay clear of the embroidery area). The flat surface from the removable pod makes this step much easier.

If you’re unsure, test your thread colours and tension on a scrap piece first. This can help you avoid having to redo an entire project because of a small mistake.

The Bottom line

Embroider Buddy is designed to make personalizing stuffed animals simple. Remove the stuffing, hoop the fabric flat, stitch your design, and zip it back up. Mister Buddy Bear is a great place to start because he’s simple, classic, and suitable for almost any gift occasion.
