Beginner Tips for Machine Embroidering on Embroider Buddy® Plush

Keep Your First Design Simple

Start with a name or a single-line phrase. Simpler designs reduce the risk of mistakes and help you build confidence as you get used to your machine.

Choose the Right Stabilizer

A medium-weight tearaway stabilizer is ideal for the inside of our buddies, to keep your stitches crisp and prevent shifting during stitching. A light, water-soluble stabilizer should go on the top of the design to keep the thread on top of the fleece.

Hoop with Confidence

This is the trickiest part of the process, but is made easier thanks to the removable stuffing pods. Lay the tummy panel flat, align your stabilizer underneath and on top and centre your design before securing it in the hoop.

Play With Thread Colours
