December 4th has been designated as World Wildlife Conservation Day and we are here for it.  We’re big animal lovers at Embroider Buddy and try to shed light on causes like World Wildlife Conservation Day, which exists to raise awareness and start conversations about species that are endangered or under threat of extinction. These animals need to be protected and their habitats in the wild preserved.

We would also like to acknowledge the many zoos and animal sanctuaries that help rehabilitate animals and educate the public about conservation – especially children, the future caretakers and conservationists of animals.

At Embroider Buddy®, we have a very special place in our hearts for wildlife and we know that the recipients of each and every Embroider Buddy® stuffed animal do too. It is our hope that the love and companionship that people have with their Embroider Buddy® animals will extend to the stewardship of wildlife and the environment.

The WWF (World Wildlife Fund) maintains a list of endangered species. You can read all about them and what the WWF is doing to protect them. There are currently more than 50 on this list and 17 of them are classed as critically endangered. Did you know that many of the animals that inspired our Embroider Buddy® stuffed animals are endangered? Our endangered buddies include: several species of Elephants, Tigers and Giant Pandas.

Today we shed light on the WWF and the many other people and organizations that act on behalf of the beautiful species that we share the earth with.
