Almost everyone has a teacher that they remember fondly or one who made a difference in their life. There’s no question that teachers help build the foundations of our success. On October 5, we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, an event that highlights the contributions of the teaching profession.

At Embroider Buddy, we celebrate our teachers’ passion for sharing knowledge, supporting growth and doing everything it takes to positively impact the lives of their students.

There are so many Embroider Buddies that represent wisdom and would make a lovely keepsake for a wonderful teacher.

Okie Owl Buddy

In many cultures, owls are an emblem of wisdom. Their intelligence and intuition make them a perfect symbol for brilliant educators who dedicate themselves to their students’ success.

Okie Owl’s big expressive eyes and rich brown coat make him a welcome addition to any classroom (or teacher’s bed!).

Elephant Ear Buddy

The wisdom of elephants is praised across many cultures. They are considered to have compassion, loyalty and wisdom… and they never forget.

Elephant Ear Buddy is our newest Embroider Buddy and is an extra special buddy with embroiderable ears. His ears have lots of room for special messages for your favourite teacher and the soft, low-pile plush fabric is so easy to embroider.

This adorable elephant is floppy and soft, 14″ seated, has deep thoughtful eyes and adorable tusks! He’s available in pink, blue and grey.

Rory Lion Buddy

The Lion has been associated with wisdom for centuries, which is why it can be seen throughout history and even today. Think of Azlan the Lion in Lewis Carrol’s The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, the wise leader of Narnia.

The 16″ loveable Rory Lion Buddy is a perfect gift for a great teacher with his fluffy mane and happy smile! Self-contained stuffing pods for the head and belly are removable through a hidden zipper on the bottom of the lion making hooping and embroidery easy on any embroidery machine.

There are so many other buddies that would make great gifts for the teachers in your life, and don’t forget you can add some wonderful embroidery to express how you feel:

   – To the world, you’re a teacher, but to your students, you’re a HERO!
   – Teachers change the world one child at a time.
   – A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart.
   – The influence of a good teacher can never be erased.
   – Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning.

If you do create a cherished keepsake for a teacher, please share it with us on Facebook and Instagram — we’re always looking for new inspiration (and if we love your creation, we might even send you a new Buddy).
