We would like to introduce Samantha from Samantha's Stylz. Samantha is our very first American Embroider Buddy® Ambassador. We think she’s great!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Samantha: I am a full time working mamma. I work in the pharmaceutical industry but my passion is sewing. In the past, I have only sewn for friends and family but with their love and support and with a 5-month old son I bravely opened my Etsy business. I don’t remember how I found Embroider Buddy but man am I glad I did!!! I love doing them and they are such fun and unique gifts!! In the 10 short months I have been doing this I have done over 100 of them!!
Who is your favourite Embroider Buddy® stuffed animal? Why?
Samantha: If I have to pick just one favourite EB, it would have to be Mason Buddy Moose. There is just something about the antlers I love. My son has a Jumbo Mason and he loves to walk around hugging him!! But I love Gerry, Elford and Rory, those big paws, and really ALL the Classics are so upscale!!!
What would you want to see added to the collection?
Samantha: I would love to see a Hippo or a Duck. Maybe more sea creatures, for example an octopus would be great for little fingers to grab onto!!!!
Would you like to be our next Ambassador? Fill out our form and don't forget to send us photos of your creative work.
Thank you so much for Featuring my work. I LOVE all of the EBs so much!!!
It’s our pleasure! You are doing a great job!
Hello Samantha
I have a 16″ EB lamb that I have made a design for.
My design is 6″ x 5″.
I can’t get my 5×7 hoop over the belly.
What is the largest hoop size that can be used?
I do not have a square hoop.
It looks like some of your designs are large too. How do you do it?
Patty Holtz
Hi Patty,
I have never actually used a 5×7 hoop with the 16″ EBs but I have heard of it being used. I have a 5.5″ square Mighty hoop that I generally use for all the 16″ (for use with multi needles one I believe)
If you have a single needle I would stick to the 4×4 frame for best results. That is how i started. The key is to just try to use every inch of space!!
If you have fast frames (again Multi needle) then I use the hoop that is about 5×4″. Or I use to use the 6″ curved cap frame with the classic collection!
I hope that helps a bit!! Let me know if I can help any more!!
