How to make the perfect Christmas stocking

It’s the holiday season, and if you haven’t already decked the halls, it’s time to get started! Here is a step-by-step guide to the perfect holiday stocking.

Step 1: Pick from one of our many different styles and colours of stockings.

Fancy Chic Stocking

The Embroider Buddy® Chic Stocking is a shiny faux-silk that comes in eight different colours. My personal favorite is the winter white because it offers a beautiful blank canvas for intricate and colorful embroidery.

White Stocking

Easy as 1-2-3 Christmas Stocking

This stocking has the classic Christmas look. The 19” Easy as 1-2-3 Christmas Stocking comes in red with a white trimming on the top with enough space to embroider a large font name.

Traditional Stocking

Can’t decide between those stockings? Well, the Embroider Buddy® Traditional Stocking is the perfect combination of the two. With 7 different colours to choose from there is something for everyone!

Step 2: Choosing a Font

A crucial step in the Christmas stocking process is embroidering the name. How else would Santa know which stocking to fill?

Step 3: Designing the Stocking

With so much space left over, why not create some fun embroidery patterns to reflect each individual’s personality?

Here are some ideas:

The Baseball Stocking:

This stocking will be a homerun for your favourite little baseball rookie. Embroidering a name, their jersey number and/or a bat and ball is sure to be a “hit”!

Holiday Themed

And of course, you have to love a classic holiday themed stocking. Santa’s little helper has been reinvented since the release of Elf on the Shelf as kids have fallen in love with this little character. He makes the perfect addition to any ruby red stocking.

Step 4: Hang the stockings above the fireplace

Get your stocking ready for Santa and hang it by the fireplace.

And remember to be on your best behaviour because we all know what happens to those who aren’t….
