It’s always exciting to introduce a new addition to our Embroider Buddy® family and today is Okie Owl’s day! Okie is the second bird to join our furry friends and we’re so happy that he’s here.
Who cannot love Okie’s big expressive eyes, full of wonder and surprise? He is 16” tall and has a rich brown coat and orange accents. This is one good-looking bird. His flat pile belly will make all of your designs easy to embroider.
Fun Owl Facts:
- A baby owl is called an owlette
- A group of owls is called a parliament
- Owls are considered to be wise
- In Greek mythology, the owl is the symbol for Athena, the goddess of wisdom
- Most owls are nocturnal
This last facts is especially meaningful for Okie Owl so that you can rest assured knowing that he’s up and keeping an eye on your little ones through the night.
Before we sign off, we bring you this message from Okie (who happens to be a funny guy too):
“Knock, knock”
“Who’s there?”
“Owl”
“Owl who?”
“Owl be seeing you!”
What he’s trying to tell you is that he’ll on his way to our warehouse and expects to arrive in December. We’ll keep you posted and let you know when he’s ready to fly the coop.
So, whooo loves Okie? We sure do.
I love your newest Owl although I love to know why there are no kitties or a kitten in the mix of animals?
Thanks Julia! Stay tuned in 2016 you might hear some meows. 😉
Happy Embroidering,
Donna
